Vivek Pendharkar, President and CEO Vivek PendharkarPresident and CEOPrior to joining Kasenna, Vivek was an Entrepreneur-In-Residence at USVP. He is an industry veteran with over 24 years of industry experience in chips, computer systems, networking, and communications technologies – having worked across start-ups, mid-size as well as large companies. Vivek started his career at National Semiconductor in 1982 as design engineer in microprocessor R and D; worked at his first start-up developing multi-processor systems – Sequent Computer Systems – that had a successful IPO; advanced to R and D management roles over a 13 year career at Hewlett-Packard in RISC architecture based work-stations and minicomputer systems; was Director of Engineering at Intel on the Itanium program that was based on HP's VLIW architecture; joined his second start-up, Lara Networks as VP of Engineering (acquired by Cypress Semiconductor in July 2001). After the acquisition, Vivek was Vice-President for the Network Search Engine Business Unit at Cypress Semiconductor, where he helped grow revenue from $5 million to $50 million/year, over a four year period. After Cypress, Vivek took on the interim-CEO role at Sierra Monolithics, a USVP portfolio company in the RF/WiMAX space. Most recently, Vivek was CEO at Velogix, also a USVP portfolio company developing Programmable Logic products. Vivek is a graduate of BITS Pilani, India (BSEE '80); Virginia Tech (MSEE '82); and Stanford University, Graduate School of Business (SEP '95). Pablo LutherCOO and Chief Financial OfficerPablo has a solid track record of over 21 years of financial and operational experience at both private pre-IPO companies as well as public Fortune 500 companies. Most recently, he has worked as a CFO for Sierra Monolithics, a USVP portfolio company. Prior to that, Pablo was CFO for Meru Networks, a WiFi networking company, where he helped evolve the company strategy and grow it from a development stage to a revenue-generating entity. Pablo has held CFO and COO-level positions in Silicon Valley start-ups Netfish Technologies and eFinance Corporation, both of which culminated in M&A transactions. Prior to that, Pablo spent six years at Stormedia, Inc. (which he helped take public), in senior executive roles including Corporate Controller, V.P. Finance, and CFO. He started his career at NCR Corp. and later spent six years at Hewlett-Packard in various financial management roles. Pablo has a BS from Bombay University, where he graduated at the top of his class; and a BS and an MBA (dual concentrations in Marketing and Finance) summa cum laude from Wright University. Sanjay MehtaExecutive Vice President, EngineeringAs Executive Vice President of Engineering and Customer Care Services, Sanjay drives the company's engineering and support efforts and is responsible for managing all of Kasenna's engineering and support activities and resources in the Sunnyvale, California headquarters and the company's R&D center in Bangalore, India. Sanjay acquired his more than 20 years of broad industry experience in engineering, operations, and product management at start-up companies as well as large enterprises. Most recently, he served as senior director of global systems development at Quantum Corporation and prior to that was senior vice president of engineering and operations at Five9, a hosted call center technology and services company. In addition, Sanjay held the position of senior vice president of engineering at DirecTV Broadband and led the team that built robust, scalable and automated operational support systems for services provisioning and infrastructure management. He came to DirecTV Broadband via the acquisition of Telocity, a start-up, focused on providing nationwide broadband residential services. Prior to that Sanjay was at Fujitsu Business Communication Systems, DSC/Alcatel and Nortel. Sanjay holds an MS in Computer Science from University of Western Ontario and an MBA from the Indian Institute of Planning and Management. Greg CarterVice President, Worldwide Marketing & BusinessGreg Carter is responsible for Kasenna's business development activities including the management of the company's key partner relationships. Greg spent 8 successful years in Sales and Marketing at SGI and has extensive experience in streaming media, standards, and open computing systems. As a member of the original Kasenna team, Greg was instrumental in spinning off Kasenna from SGI to become an independent company in Jan 2000. Greg received his Master's Degree in Business Economics from the University of California, Santa Barbara. |
